W203 05MY (C230K). Change CD-Changer to MP3-Changer help!
I wish to replace original cd-changer in my Mercedes-Benz W203 C230K 2004 (05MY) (WDBRF40J45A671032) with audio20 and standard CD-Changer 6 discs.
What original MP3-changer can installed in my car?
I have A2118705390 and A211 870 38 89 from W211
A2118705390 or A211 870 38 89 Will approach?

I remove original 6cd cd-changer and connect 6cd mp3-changer A211 870 38 89. MP3-Changer work all right

Wow, So you're saying you hooked up at cd changer from an updated w211 that can read mp3s and it worked?!

^ I'm guessing this does NOT work for pre-facelift W203s, even with a harness change?

It works only on w203, with Audio 20CD (may be with Command) and MOST (optical bus).

About installation

If your car have audio 20 cd and most (optical interface), you can change original 6disc cd-changer to 6disc mp3-changer from W211/W164 (parts number A2118703889 or A211870539).

Turn the ignition on
Turn on Audio 20
Unload all the disks from the CD-Changer
Turn off Audio 20
Turn the ignition off
Wait 2-3 minutes
Disconnect the battery
Wait a minute
Disconnect cd-changer
Connect mp3-changer (without cd's)
Connect battery
Wait 2-3 minutes to initialize mp3-changer
Turn the ignition on
Turn the ignition off
Turn on Audio 20
Press CDC button (look message on display about changer is empty)
Press CD button
Turn off Audio 20

For correct installation on place in the glovebox, you have to cut a square hole (50x50mm) in the back wall of the glovebox in a place where the wiring comes out from mp3-changer
