Wanted: Coupon for service A @MB dealer
My dealership is running a special where they match any dealers coupon for service A +an additional 5% off.
So if anyone has coupons for service A please post them here. This dealership is usually crazy expensive (as are most MB dealers in the northeast) so I'm hopeing (is that even a word) the MBworld can deliver, and stick it to them.

I just got some service A and B coupons in the mail.
I think it was 202 for Service A, and 303 for service B.
But I had service a / b done at my indy for like... ~$130 ea
It's mainly the Oil Change that's the thing =o
But if $202 is cheaper than yours I'll post it up
Provided that my parents haven't thrown it away like I asked.

I could make up a coupon that would show you the difference between doing it yourself and the dealer doing it.
Seriously, have you given any thought to doing it yourself? You'll save serious cabbage over the life of your car.

At the end of the day my car is probably burning oil.
If this engine was in perfect condition I would have no problem doing it myself, but as of now I fear for my warranty, and want there to be no question that my dealer did all the work and all the oil changes so they are on the hook for any problems.

Zero, just have the dealer do it this way for sure you will know if you are burning oil. Are you sure you didn't have any leaks? It's hard to notice underneath because of the covers but if you remove them you should easily be able to see if you have leaks.

I took it to the dealer they dropped the belly pan and looked around. No signs of leaks. The official response was the lack of oil was a combination of not enough oil put in last oil change (that they did) and possibly the car burning a little oil. They will monitor the situation after this service.
So being that I must have them do the service I want to not pay very much.
Speaking of which, I just found a crackhead deal.

How much oil are you losing? Most engines do burn a little oil. If it's a quart or quart and a half between changes, I don't see a huge problem.

Nice! I think I need a print out though. Does anyone else know of something like this? My deal expires the day before my service

We will match or beat all dealer coupons! Hell, we'll even match made up coupons from photoshop or if you get real desperate, MS paint.
(the above statement is intended for humor. Please do not bring me a coupon you made in MS paint... or photoshop)

When you think about it, an DIY oil & filter change cost is:
Oil filter $13
Air filter $28
shipping $14
oil 7qrts $49
Total $104
Reset computer $0
In addition I bought a Mityvac fluid evacuator for about $100. Time : 1 hour
An A-service for $99 is a pretty good deal!

I believe it is an all time thing. I haven't been there, but my understanding is that it is their "gimmick." I have also heard a couple of people who said that once they get the car in for the A-service, they will find other things they try to get your approval on and make it up there. Imagine that.
I can say that their parts guys are pretty friendly and helpful, but not where my service loyalty lies.

Well they gave me the service for $112 after tax. So it worked!!
They did want to get my approval on $1800 worth of other things, but I was like no way lol.
It does look like I need a brake job, brake fluid flush, AC condenser cleaning, etc... Did I mention they wanted $200 to flush the fuel system, does that involve standing by the tank and pouring in $45 mb FI cleaner?
