C7 pedals
After a year or driving, I took them out and wash them throughly. But I see that some of them rubber studs are basically worn down (especially at the corners). I belive its because of the rubbing with my shoe for the whole year. I guess it's time for new ones.:o

Does the R129 Silver Arrow also have the aluminum brake pedal piece? Anyone know for sure that the pedals, either SLK or SL will fit the W210 E-Class sedan?
SL part numbers?
SL part numbers?

I called the dealer's parts department and they ordered them for me once I specified the part #'s. They said I can just pay when I stop by to pick them up.
BTW... my total came out to more than 75 dollars.

WHOA you were s c r e w e d ! I emailed hoehn motors in CA and it was $32 for all 4 pieces!
Tell your dealer that and tell them to chill out. Mention something about the lack of MD in their name (after all a proctologist is still a doctor).

Sorry one more thing... if your dealer had to order - you could just as easily order. Only differences:
1) it comes to your house instead of your dealer
2) it's cheaper
3) no tax - but shipping
4) see #2

well peet... before you go pissing in other people's wheaties... perhaps you should get the facts.
My car is an automatic btw.
Brake Pedal - #170 290 01 82 Cost=$26.77
Gas Pedal - #170 300 00 04=$29.04
E Brake - #230 430 0084 = $14.76
Total = $70.57
once again.... shy of 75 dollar but I don't think tax was included in the price.
2nd. I live in Florida. The closest dealer is 35 mins away and they p*ssed me off. The Mercedes dealership in orlando is 1 hour and 20/30 mins away but sold me the car over the phone. Took great care of me and got me what i wanted. I have a great relationship with them so I choose to support them. My family has dealt with too many of the MB dealers in southern CA and almost all were A$$holes, none of which as pleasant to deal with as MB of Orlando(personal experience guys... no offense to anyone).
3rd. If you want to complain about 35 bucks then perhaps you need to get a 2nd job rather than make dramatic posts.

No need to argue. But all dealer prices vary. If you go to 10 different MBZ dealers you will get 10 different prices on the same part numbers. Unfortunate but true.

i had 10 mins free so I put mine on........ they look nice. Only pain was slipping the gas pedal on but even that worked out fine. I will post pictures later, since my car is immaculate no one can b*tch about dirty carpet
Thanks for all the info guys

C7 Pedals Install--Thanks Antonio
Just about to install my new pedals -- thanks for the detailed instructions and pics. The dealership (American Service Center) has gotten wise and now displays them in the Parts department as a package. The parts guy said that they have been hot sellers.
Total cost just under $50 for the automatic (3 pedals). The first quote that I got from another dealership (HBL) was for over $200.
Website for the good dealer is www.justmercedes.com. Ask for the parts numbers that are posted in this thread. The parts are light, so shipping wouldn't be much.

All Done
All told, it took about 20 minutes (1 minute for the e-brake, 1 minute for the brake, 18 $%#@!# minutes and 1 cut finger--due to not looking where I was aiming the tweezers) for the gas pedal). Very nice, very inexpensive upgrade. I definitely recommend it.

Hi,
I have just finished install my e-brake and brake pedals. When I removed the gas-pedal followed all the instructions from this thread, (i.e. 1. take off the plastic horizontal lock-pin; 2. remove the plastic cap; 3. unscrew the metal with a socket), the whole assembly of the gas pedal came out with some wires connected to the car. Is this normal?
Any precautions to put it back or did I make any mistakes during my modifications?
Please help, thanks.

I think you made a mistake. I never saw any wires. For the gas pedal, all you need to do is pry off that pin and slip off the old pedal and slip on the new one. There's no need to remove the entire assembly.
Also, it may be difficult to slip on the new pedal without some lube. I used soapy water. Took less than 2 minutes to do the gas pedal.
And thanks to Antonio. He's a great help.

Anyway, anyone who also made the same mistake like me? Because, once the bolt is removed, the whole unit of the gas pedal assembly will come off.
