Question Replacing Headlight??

OKay guys How hard is it to replace the whole headlight assembly. Mercedes quoted me $270, and $300 for the damn labor. No way IN hell Am i paying that.

So is it easy to do it?
How time consuming is it?

If you are reasonably competent mechanically you should be able to do it - probably in an hour or so (maybe slightly longer, I can't recall if you need to remove the bumper cover to get at the bottom portion of the assembly). You might specifically ask someone who has changed their assemblys to bi-xenon (bagwell?).

Cheers, BT

You do need to at least loosen the bumper cover up enough to gain access to the headlight - whether you want to remove it completely is up to you. It's not difficult to do, but does take some time. The overall operation should take no longer than 2 hours - from disassembly to reassembly. I've seen headlights on eBay in the past for much less.......
