Center Console stuck on 05 c230k

The other day the top portion of the center console (that opens side-to-side) got stuck. I just wiggled and yanked it to open, thinking a business card got stuck (which it had). ....I did get the side-to-side portion open but I'm not sure if I broke something b/c now it won't attach back into place. It's stuck open on the driver side. hope that makes sense.... like it still opens to let the driver see inside but won't close and therefore won't open so that the passenger could see in.

Furthermore, when I was messing with that top piece I somehow elevated the bottom portion of the console about 3-4 inches. It's hard to explain but the deep area of the center console where I keep phone charger, CDs etc (I call it the main portion of the center console) and now it is completely stuck, will not budge and it is essentially 1/2 way open.

I don't even know how this happened but I was hoping someone had a fix???

Really didn't wanna go to MB dealer. thanks!
