German Evo II C230k coupe suspension

How does MB achieve a 15mm front/ 5mm rear lower suspension for the Evo II C230k available in Germany? I've read the discussions on spring pads, but are there other suspension modifications that lower the car or is this just due to thinner spring pads? Also, does anyone know if thinner spring pads can be used on the C230 coupe in the front as well as the rear?

Anyone?

You can change the spring pads in the back but not the front. There are a couple of kits out there Renntech, Brabus, and I think I read the Kleemann now has a kit.

Thanks for the info Randy! I also found out that AMG does offer many more items in Germany for the coupe. Apparently different springs/shocks are used on German C230s as well... Should have more info on that in the near future...

I would be glad to here what other options are out there. I'm currently on my 3rd set up for suspensions. First stock, then real low and harsh, then progressive springs and custom shock and struts, next week I will have the perfect combo for me, lower progressive springs and the custom shocks and struts. I was advised against cutting any coils. The ride I have now is very good but it is still allitle high for my taste.

I hear ya... prior to the coupe, I had a 318ti and spent the last four years doing performance upgrades to it, trying different upgrades one at a time to get the right match. Having been through the whole suspension upgrade process, I can completely relate to where you're at.

I got a copy of an English coupe accessory catalogue that shows a few AMG accessories in it that can be ordered... no part numbers tho. I hear that AMG has produced several upgrades for the coupe and I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of the German catalog.

All I know so far is that the German AMG car does have a different suspension.

I'll give you a shout when I get info on part numbers...
