lower control arm

I hit a large pothole at 65mph... destroyed my rim... what are the chances that my lower control arm is bent or broken... I got rim replaced.. car drives fine i think it just needs to be realigned.

There's always a chance, but you said that it drives fine, so it doesn't sound like it is bent. If you take it to get aligned, make sure and have them check all the suspension parts for any damage. They are probably much stronger than the rim though.

It doesn't take much to damage suspension components if you hit it just right. It's possible you bent the strut or lower control arm.

btw...if that 65 mph is within the legal speed limit, then u can file a claim against either the city or the state's transportation agency (for highways and freeways, etc.) for the damage/cost needed to repair the damage

Any time you hit anything badly enough to bend a wheel, it should be routine to have the car's alignment checked. At the same time, have them take a look for any other damage to the suspension components.

If you wait, you could start chewing up tires, which will cost more in the long run than you spend on getting the alignment checked.
