Mod Suggestions.

Hey guys,
Well I'm new to the site and have had a 2006 c280 since December, it's my first car and I love it to death. The car is a 4matic and has black paint and black interior with wood finish. So far all I have done to the car is replaced the bulbs in the headlights and fog lamps with HIDs. I also have a Rocksford Fosgate Power Amp and 2 Kicker 10's. Next week I am also tinting my windoes 15 all around with thte exception of the windshield.

I just need some suggestions from the experienced guys. I really would like to get the carbon fiber roof and trunk lip spoilers. Also change the grille and the emblem... I just need some suggestions with the price of the mod since I'm new to this...

Thanks guys

Hey

Welcome to the board!

I also have a 2006 C280.
What color is yours?

Prices for your intended mods are fairly standard across the board:

Gary@suvneer has listed two good products approved by a few members:

CF Rear Trunk Lip Spoiler --$150
CF Rear Roof Spoiler --$190

The flat emblem / Star Grille

There are a couple to choose from.

There's a custom flat badge that fits perfectly, made by Rob [DFWDude]
You can find his thread stickied at the top, like the 2nd thread. Just email / PM him. He won't bite.

There's also the stock OEM flat badge. It's plastic. Doesn't fit as well. Fades horribly (from what everyone says)
But only costs $20~30

The star grille...
Just look up W203 C-Class Grilles on ebay.
You'll see quite a few different options.

Enjoy your stay and look at the existing threads for mod ideas.

A couple would probably be:

Bi-Xenons
A drop
Wheels
Rear Diffuser
CF Trims
etc etc

Where are you located?
Wouldn't 15% tint all around get you into a little trouble?
That's quite dark imo.

Thanks man black paint job and black interior with wood trim, lol yeah 15 would get me in trouble but from what I've heard if a cop can see an outline of your person in your car your alright.

Yeah, I'll get some pics up later today after I wash it =p and I'm located by the shore Ocean County.

Your next mod should be wheels and tires! I wouldn't bother with anything else before that.

Never really got this one. Unless you post a pic of you carrying gold bricks inside your car a la "The Italian Job", what's the big deal?

I agree about changing the interior trim; brown wood with an all black interior should never be even offered.

New rims and a drop wouldn't be bad, either. Welcome to the forum.

Blacked out grille and a flat hood badge will give your car a whole new look instantly.

Yeah I'd really like a new set of rims and tires.
I got to bring my car to the Dealer for Service B, maybe I can trade in my emblem and grille for the ones I want? I don't know if I can do this but if anyone has knowledge about this let me know.
And thanks for the welcome. =]

I think you have the wrong impression about the dealer. My advice is to find a reputable Independent shop to do the work for you

Blacked out ones are cleaner than clear ones if you foil wrap the bulbs inside. But even if you don't wrap them, just a tiny bit of light comes out at night.
It's actually not that detracting from the cars look at night, and it gives people another indication that you're on the road.

Or the better solution would be to get Euro-Impact Strips for the clean look all together.
