Static on CD changer

Has anyone experienced static noises when changing tracks or cd's on the CD changer? I thought it was loose wires with the speakers but the radio seems unaffected. Could it be my cell phone which causes interference? I put it just underneath the head unit. Its only happened twice but its enough to bother me since I've only had the car for about a month now. BTW its a c240 sedan.

I've never noticed any static noises with the CD, just the muted mechanical noises when changing discs.

The cell phone will cause low level clicks and pops on your radio and CD player etc., and will make a real noise if you get a call. I have the same problem on my CLK , so I put my phone on the passenger seat!

I haven't noticed anything. I hope I don't. Don't bring your cell with you next time you're in the car. See what happens.

I had problems with my CD Changer making serious static noises. It turned out the cable between the CD Changer and the radio got pinched. They replaced it and it's all good now.
