lol this helps noone! the thread is how the HE** did you install them since they obviously dont fit assuming I was sent the correct ones. If you notice the link about 4 posts back its obvious that the ones I was sent are for the w211 and not the w203 so thats what I was trying to figure out before having to send these back to JBSpeed and ask for a full refund.Originally Posted by advans

Exploreya just instlled mine the other day...then 2 days later my fixtures came in...now im trying to figure out which I want to keep! Anyone interested in the bulbs assuming the fixtures work...I'm gonna make sure the fixtures work tomorrow.

let me know how u installed the fixtures, installing the bulb is easy, from what it looked like seems taking out the whole fixture might be a pain in the a$$

ya its easy...just undo the pop tabs on your liner...the T-screws holding in the handle thinging on the part that flips up...then undo the bolt on the under side facing the license plate from behind then using a butter knife or small flat head (after removing the license plate) pop off license plate insert around the edges there are tabs all around it so be patient...then just unplug the fixtures from behind and unclip them and they should fall right out...then snap the others in and repeat!

Good find on the Sonic Tuning LEDs.. I think I'm going to go that route also after my HOENs came in and the left one kept flickering.

Please let me know how they work..ie...brightness, flickering, dash errors etc, pics would be helpful too.
the hoens weren't the brightess ones I've had but they're sure the whitest and least blue I've had so far. Gonna replace my fixtures today and I'll take pics... and post this evening.

the hoens are the brightest ive ever had but hopefully the fixtures will be brighter, ill be waiting on those pics!
ya its been raining all day so its pushed my install back...I should be starting my install in about an hour or so.
Heres the DIY I just finished.

Pop the lil clips out all around until you can fold the liner down like shown (make sure you unplug the emergency escape button thing)

Use your 11/32 head to unbolt this. This will allow you to remove the license plate insert.

Usint a flat head and a paper towel/tape etc slowly pop this off...I believe there are 6 clips, 4 on top and 2 on bottom. Just slide it around and keep prying its plastic so you can be a lil strong with it.

Once license plate cover is removed and liner is peeled back look on under until you see the back end ofthe fixture and pull out the power. At this point I recommend testing the new fixture before going any further now that you can plug it in.

Once you pop it out it should look like this.

To pop them out there are push clips on the left side of each fixture. You might be able to use your finger, if not use something to push on and down on it to push the fixture out.
After this snap in the new fixtures, plug in, and reassemble! Congrats!

Also forgot to add you'll need a T-20 to remove the hand grip that holds the liner to the trunk. You obviously must remove that before pulling back liner.
also now if anyone is interested in the hoen LED's I have an extra set now! lol just PM me.

Will these lights triger the console message? Right now my driver side license plate light is out and I have a message that says it is out.
Thanks.
