Engineered For Life
1st video - a young soccer player is driving his mom and dad in what looks to be a W211 E-class on the 101 highway in CA. It's night time. The guy says cruise control is set at 70mph. They come over a rise and meet a drunk driver, head on. The guy plays soccer the next day with his parents in the audience.
2nd video - A woman with a loaner W203 (looks to be 2005 C240) is sitting at a redlight in front of the Mercedes dealer when an accident causes an old F-150 to land on top of her car, at the driver's side. She is uninjured.
3rd video - Three generations of a family are riding in what looks to be an R-class that is hit head-on by an 18-wheeler and dragged into a tree. All survive with only minor injuries.
It's said to be a case of wrong place, wrong time, right car. It's definitely the right way to advertise. Features and design count for only so much. I was left feeling proud of the brand. Any of you who are members should check it out. Those who aren't or don't meet the criteria, be on the look out - the campaign should start soon!
my parent's 1986 300SEL which they owned for 12 year before selling in 98 after we've immigrated in 96. my mom said she saw it running around town in Taipei still looking garage new in 2009. now that was engineered for life....not the recent Benzsss in that regards...

) will have to wait. Obviously they mean engineered to save lives, not to last forever as they used to lol
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
No doubt MB’s designed-in passive and active safety features are important criteria for my family’s automobile purchases.
Agree with FrankW. Mom drove a succession of W126s- 300 SD, 380 SE, 420 SEL and a 560 SEL. Built solidly and demonstrably superior to competitive marques of the day. The doors closed with a reassuring “thunk.” And they ignored bad pavement like an aircraft carrier crossing a sailboat’s wake. Dad’s ’69 280 S sparked my interest in the brand, not some advertising agency’s marketing ploy. Manufacturing expediency has continued to erode their heretofore steadfast reliability and build quality.
“Mercedes-Benz, engineered like no other car in the world.” How’s that for a jingle?
Here the videos are for everyone. They are absolutely brilliant and invoke great pride in the brand. Enjoy!

Its the same as generation Benz, I was on it until I was offered a place on generation benz. Of note you can only have one of the 2 accounts. They closed my MB advisors account when I joined generation benz.

if you meant the dash board material. I can tell you that aside from the tougher print-which like it or not is subjective- the dash material is the same and probably better than the material used in the 203. looks wise it is subjective, but there's no denying that the 204 is a better built car than the 203. BUT it doesn't mean 203 was any bad like some 204 extremist idiots on the 204 forum trying to make the 203 seems like.

I never cared for the C Classes one bit. The only reason I purchased mine is because I needed a DD to handle miles. Mt first was the W202 and that was one of the worst cars I have ever been in...That interior was plastic. My second was the W203. I like it but I hate the trim parts. The wood is very very cheap and the interior creeks alot like my W202 did. I had a W204 C350 as a loaner car for a couple days and I didnt like it one bit besides the looks. I think it felt more solid then the w203(Maybe because its newer) but I enjoyed driving the W203 100X more. It is much smaller but I liked the interior design much better. As far as the C63...Other then perfromance and looks I am not too impressed with it. I would take a C55 anyday. For me it would be W203>W204>W202

I think the facelift W203 Sport sedans (in particular the 07s) look much, much better than the W204s and the ugliest 204 is the C63.
That said they're all safe vehicles which is what this thread is about.
