Hi all,
Just confirming that I need to replace the bulb for this? if so, where do I buy the bulb from? RockAuto.com has many options for this.
Furthermore, is it an easy DIY replacement?

Bix lamps steadily move to the blue end of the colour spectrum as they age. So this makes sense.
Replacement is easy.
Philips Ultinon Xenon from the Aachen plant in Germany are the best lamps out there.

I recommend replacing them in sets. I have a very good ebay seller i have bought 3 bulbs from them and they are all great. Philips d2s 85122 which are the oem ones in the bix. for $74. PM me if you want the sellers name ships from utah.

Thanks everyone for their responses. The assumption was correct, the bulb finally went out last night.
Weird thing is, that it started to flicker intermittently, and would stay on for a little while (still with the purple color).
Nevertheless, I ordered new bulbs from ebay for $117 USD including express shipping. Hopefully, this is just a bulb issue.
