Not difficult to believe. The DWS tires are very good overall. My rears have 32,000 miles now and still never slip.

As for hating all Japanese cars.. I've never understood why credit wasn't given where it is due. To buy something as unreliable as an early CL203 over something solid like an Accord is to cut your nose off to spite your face!

Well, I got this one from Best Buy.com I know it's not professional quality, but it should be a decent one to wet my beak on this whole thing.

Also, I ended up returning the Rebel XS, and buying a Rebel T2i (not meaning to one up you Hector ) The XS was fine, but I knew that the speed and image quality would annoy me after a while, so I went and spent as much as I was willing to for a camera.

Now I just need to learn how to actually use this fancy camera!

SB, you are probably smarter than I am! I tend to go much bigger than I really should "just because"

Lilbenz, I have no disrespect for Japanese engineering, but my luck with Japanese cars (Honda in particular) has not been great. I had a 1990 Accord that kept chewing up axles and CV joints. Mind you this was in 1995.

Trini, nothing but love little brother, I can tell after my first lesson with my daughter that she is going to have a heavy foot too!

nice the T2i, i was going to get that one but they had a really good sale on the T1i and I couldnt resist the bundle package it came with. Maybe I'll sell the T1i soon and upgrade to the t2i, but I can't complain about the image quality of it, its been a great camera to me.

Can't say I don't do that either.

The rebel is a good beginners camera.. I don't plan on doing photography as a profession so it suits me. Much better than the iPhone point and shoot quality.

Hows the T2i?

There isn't much out there in the DSLR world that wouldn't beat the iPhone in both quality and versatility! As to how the T2i is... my daughter and I went out to the park taking pictures and just hanging out in general. I bought her an Olympus E600 for Christmas with two different lenses, and all the fun stuff. The T2i smokes it, but that was to be expected.

Just a sample, I'm a rank amateur, but I can see a world of possibilities. BTW, here is a self portrait from being left bored in a hotel room last night.

I know I need to start running again! Lastly, as promised, here are the DWS tracks.

Walked out to my car last night and saw this...

I hate it! @#$%^&* So I guess I need to re-paint my wheels, or get them chromed/polished. Can any paint shop do this, or do I need to take them to a specialty wheel store?

to powdercoat you have to take to a shop that can do that. but you can take it to any paint shop and they should be able to do it. Also you can go to a parts store and duplicolor makes a wheel paint you can use. I can ask my friends paint shop and see how much he'll charge, its usually alot cheaper than any other shop because its his side shop. He works for an auto body shop but does side work so he rented out a shop to do side work.

That would be great, could you ask him for me? I'll be back in town this weekend, and can drop the wheel off then. Maybe we can even meet up for a cup of joe?

I LOVE Asian coffee! and are we talking about Vietnamese sandwiches? if so I AM IN! As to having them all done... I can't be without my car for that long, so it leaves me in a quandary. Ask him how much to do all four, and then I'll think it over. Might have to wait till I rotate back to the Dallas office in a month or so.

Oh, and as far as the amp goes, what is your view on this one?

ok just talked to my friend and he said 200 for the set and it'll take about 2 days to do. They'll sand it down prime it, put a couple of coats of paint on it and clear it. 200 is usually for one wheel at some shops.

Wow that's REALLY good for all 4! I wish I hadn't sold my old wheels all ready... well I say sold, more like gave them to a friend who had a blow out in his W202.

The next question is, should I go with a stock look? or do something different?

I like the little gunmetal look on our white cars. I was going to paint my stockies that color before I sold them. So if you're down LMK my friend has to tell his dad so he can get the paint at the shop and make sure they hold off on some work so he can make room for you this weekend.

i might have to leave my car with them when I go on my trip so they can touch up my paint. Had an incident with my bike rack when I first put it on and the top of my garage so I have some deep paint scratches I need fixed.

You can find wheel paint that will match the same color. Theres no need to get the whole rim powered coated unless you really wanted 2. I was quoted 150 dollars per rim. Looking at your rim that looks like white out??

Here is a website to get an idea of how its done.
