First time Mercedes Owner - couple of questions
Have wanted a Mercedes forever. I just got my chance and picked up a nice 1997 C230 with LOTS of miles. Got this car for my son (his first car). He is very excited. But, I am too.
I was worried about the mileage. Not gonna say how many it has logged because I want to ask.. any predictions on average live expectancy?
Also, any general advice for MB or this year/model in particular?

Welcome, if its a 1997 C230 you will be better off in the C-Class (W202) forum for specifics about your car, this forum is for 2001-2007 C-Classes (W203). Although general MB advice comment can be sought/found in any forum.

Ask the 202 guys but a tough car with huge life expectancy if well maintained. Unstressed non Kompressor engine.
