My new C Class

Hey guys i am the proud owner of a 1992 190E ( my first car ) now im adding another to the stable my new daily driver im picking up tomorrow a 2006 C280 4Matic !

Its a beautiful car its Barolo red with stone interior and it has 17" factory sport wheels. I will post up pictures when I pick it up tomorrow.

Questions I have on it are ....

Can I add the factory navigation system ? If so what $$ am I looking at ?

Xenon HID Lights whats the best company to go with that wont trigger the bulb out light on ??

C280 with factory sport wheels? That's something I have never seen.

Interesting exterior color. Adding a COMMAND unit is a lot of work, not worth it IMO unless you're dedicated. You'll be looking at over $1,000 atleast. For HID's, i'm assuming you can order them from DDMTUNING.

I didn't think you could run the staggerd wheels on a 4Matic. You may want to make sure all the diameters are exactly the same so you don't damage the transfer case.

It has a Mercedes-benz dealer type plate so i'm assuming the dealer won't sell a 4matic w203 with stag. fitment.

Never assume a dealer knows better. Make sure those rims/tires are all the same size ASAP.

Factory Nav is pretty much plug and play...will take a few hours going slow and not to damage anything your first time on the job...lots of snaps, plastic screw bosses not to damage and clips...the antenna in the OEM location for retro fit is the hardest part, behind the gauges...most people put the antenna under the center dash grille....Look for a used unit, and STF for answers, they are here...I used this forum and a few members to swap...While not the best system, it is OEM and looks perfect!

Steve and Wanda at MBENZNL.NL can hook (should be able to) hook you up...

Also, the OEM Bi-Xenons are awesome...one of my favorite parts of the car...To go OEM, you need level sensors and a few other things, and the high pressure washers to be a true retro-fit...I would still try to go that route...

Pick up a WIS CD from your dealer and have fun!

welcome! Nice car! Enjoy her in good health!

Also, check out DDMTUNING for HID kits- Good price and quality product. I have no issues with them so far.

Perfect, then you're good to go. I figured it could be done with 4 front wheels all the way around.

makes no difference if he go staggered.

as long as outer diameter stay within 3% of each other. w204 4matic comes with staggered wheels and tires as well as the w212 now.
