This was a helpful article for me. the w208 has the same wheels specs as our w203s.

Similar situation here, only the reverse of most everyone else who posted.
'05 W215 (CL500) bought used, no owners manual, and not the original rims, not sure if the spare is oem or not, but its full-sized and steel. No additional lug bolts came with the spare.

The spare has been on the front a few times with no problem using the existing lug bolts. But on the rear, the existing bolts weren't long enough to mount the spare (different offset).

Long story made short: I found the longer bolts on the front where the previous owner apparently had the same reccurring flat that I did, cracked rim, front left.

With the spare now on the rear, it was several days before the new tire came in, was mounted on the original rim, & ready to be picked up.

I forgot to swap back to the shorter lug bolts when I removed the spare and reinstalled my original rim with the new tire on it.

It took some Googling to figure out what the whap-whap-whap sound was after 3 rides around the block. Swapped to the correct, shorter bolts but there was still noise, only not nearly as bad.

Took the dive into finding out what sort of damage I had done to the e-brake, including a ton of Googling & BInge YouTube watching to eventually conquer removing the stuck caliper bolts, the stuck torx rotor set screw, and the stuck rotor / e-brake drum or "top hat" setup.

No damage that I could see. Did lots of cleaning, rust removal, lubing, testing & adjusting. Still a slight rubbing sound which I think is bent backing plate. The admonition, "If you hear it with the wheel off, you will hear it with the wheel on." is very true.

I just scavenged a 17" set off my CLK for my E350 Cpe
It was tricky, with 14mm thick bolts instead of the 12mm on the CLK. Normal 28mm length on the rear and one front, on the other side I used 40mm bolts have a 12mm spacer to take the offset from ET45 out to ET33, with the ET32 wheel on the other side, yes, off by 1mm on the track. It was also tapered seat bolts for aftermarket wheels. Kind of a pain, but...

It was worth the effort... a "free" set of 3 wheels plus the odd offset one that was ordered in error got used with a spacer, brand new sitting around. The CLK set had new Eagle Exhilarates already, so it was a no brainer, just a lot of work.
I have tons of wheel hardware at home, but had to order a few thingies.
