Engine coolant - visit workshop!?!?
I keep getting the aforementioned malfunction on my C32 AMG. The coolant level is fine. The car does seem to be running warm but it is hard to tell with that senseless Celsius bar graph. Temperature appears to be around 94-96. What all triggers this code? It is getting annoying


I do live in Florida and it is still 80 degrees (F) plus in the evening

Have you done any maintenance on the coolant?

Have you change the water pump?

Have you change the temp sensor?

All of those can trigger a false reading or better yet degrade your coolant or system.

I just bought the car so I am not sure whether the cooling system has ever been serviced or maintained.

What is normal operating temperature on a hote day for these cars?

Is this a guess? The temperature gauge is not very clear. The running temp is kinda subject to intrepretation as all you have to go by is a digital bar graph. Or maybe I am missing something....is there another monitor that I should be looking at when the car is running?

Strange that the washer fluid resv. is tied into the cooling system. Is this so the coolant warms the washer fluid for better windshield cleaning???

They are not tied in. Both sensors just feed the same warning on earlier cars - crazy - YES!
