how's the quality of that steering wheel? I have been debating on buying that same one for some time now.

It is nice but not Mercedes quality. Then again, I'm somewhat obsessive about stuff. Here is a closeup pic. Note the original wheel uses embosses plastic/vinyl on the back of the wheel where it mounts. This one is fully covered in leather. Covered to the point of I had to cut two small slits where the airbag bolts are, to get to them. Other than that, I like it. It is larger in diameter than the stock wheel and feels good in the hands.

how close matched is the color with the airbag? It's hard to tell with the picture. I have the same color interior also.

If you look closely at the installed pic, you will see the air bag is a shade darker than the wheel. The wheel is somewhere between the dark Java used on the factory wheel and the light Java used in the rest of the interior. As is, it isn't bad and I don't think anyone would notice, unless they were looking for it. If they did notice, they would think it was part of a two tone design, as they do compliment each other.

I thought I would update this thread with a couple items. Here is the new shift knob to match the steering wheel.

Also removed the stock sub and added twin 12" MTX. It all tucks away nicely.

In case you wondered what they look like. Here is a pic with the box turned around.

Decided to remove the C240 emblem on the car while driving home today. Used some dental floss to cut them loose from the car. Then a weak mixture of acetone, toluene and dichloromethane (furniture refinisher) to get most of the adhesive off. Finished getting it off with some white polishing compound. It only took about 15 minutes. Nice clean backend now.

Very nice indeed. I have the AMG split rim replicas on mine but have always had the itch to fit the partial wood steering wheel. You have just increased that itch! Scratching like mad LOL! Do the clear blinker repeaters. Cheap & makes a big difference. Got mine from RMeuropean

I know The Max well. This thread starts with pictures taken there back in 2003. I remember it well because while I was waiting Tim Duncan came in to have one of his cars done. We were the only people there that afternoon and talked for an hour. He really is a nice guy. He has a passion for vintage mustangs.

Damn! that's the exact store i was talking about! So far they have great products on their wall etc..they even do caliper painting services. They have a red e90 out there now with bayern wheels that they use as a sample for their painting services. So far that's the only place i found that caters to euro's. I inquired on tiens there, about 1200 if i'm not mistaken.

Follow this link to Gary's thread where I posted a pic of my car with his kit: Gary @ Suvneer PM him to get a quote on what you want. He has front bumper with foglights, euro impact stips and CF lip, side skirts, and rear bumper. I bought the whole kit but didn't install the impact strips. They're sitting in a box in my garage.

Hey Gary you're going to have to start paying me commission on all the kits my car sells for you. LOL !
