I thought I would put together a thread of my C240 over the years.
Here is a pic back from 2003 at the "The Max" about to get new wheels and tires.

The look really changed with I went with some 18" C63 wheels and tires I got from JD650. I also went with some clear sidemarkers.

Let me throw in here - MBWorld Rocks! Without the info found in the forums and parts from members, this project would never have happened.
Thanks guys!

Looks much better than it did when you bought it. How many miles does it have? You should update the side mirror repeaters with the post-facelift design. It's cheap and much cleaner. Would go well with the new clear headlights and fog lights.

BTW: The car has 120K on it and runs better than new. It has always been maintained at the dealer for every scheduled service. I have an excellent dealership now: Mercedes-Benz of Boerne. Four years in a row they have been rated "Best of the Best" among dealerships. I've even made several friends there.

No it has not been dropped. A combination of the front lip and the C63 larger front tires help to give it that look. I can't really drop the car, as my house sits up on a hill and the transition from road to driveway is a bit steep. As is, I've already scraped the front lip.

No, it was sitting on the showroom floor. I told them when it went on sale to call me. He said they don't go on sale. A week later he called saying his boss told him to move cars and he did.

Cool, I had no idea. I bought this originally for my wife. Her requirements were white, manual trans and a CD player. Once I bought her the ML350, the 240 became my daily driver. That's when I decided to make a few changes.

My steering wheel was wearing on the top from sun and holding, so I picked this one up on Ebay. I have a matching shift knob coming from ForMyMercedes.

Car looks very nice. I agree about the side repeaters on the mirrors. And if you're going to do that, might as well put in the Euro convex mirrors; they're a good safety improvement.
The wood knob is going to be sticky in the TX heat, I'd think.
