Yellow Fogs What Do You Guys Think?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_7636wt_909

I contacted this seller and they said they had them in 9006 as well...I have a 2003 C230 Kompressor our fogs are 9006 Correct? What do you guys think about these bulbs? Do you have a better brand or any input on these?

or these...or like I said any suggestions to a better brand. Don't need the best just some good bulbs that will do the job and won't have any problems with for about a year.

I'm in California, I'm not sure if they are illegal or not but I don't think they are a big deal where I live...does anyone know if they are illegal in California? If so i'll just turn them off when I'm Ticket hungry cities like LA and West Covina

Why don't you just get a 3000K HID kit for the fogs?

I am checking out DDM Tuning as we speak...I mean I just want the yellow for looks not sure if I need them super bright...I denno that's why I'm looking for opinions I don't know what I want or what will look good.

Right now I am currently running some OTTO HID's LOL 35W 6000K so what 3000K setup you think would go best with those? I have DEPO projectors so the light output isn't too crazy...

Do you have stock housings for the fogs? The light output on them aren't that great to begin with so even with something like a 3000K HID kit in them you won't be able to tell they're on. The only reason why I suggest going with a HID kit than halogen is so you don't have to replace the bulbs every 2 months (most of the yellow halogen bulbs do not last).

yeah started looking too JDM to me, I mean I like the look but my city lights are a blue tint so I had 3 different colors when my lights were on lol the yellow lights are really only used for when it rains, like you see in the le mans series cars and road races. It helps you see the rain drops and the road clearer.

Yes, I have the stock housing...the AMG Hella ones...I'm not really too big on the lighting just more so the look...that's good to know about the Halogens...I definitely won't be getting those now.

I hear ya on the JDM look but I denno I kind of like it because it's different...pretty much it's clear I won't be getting bulbs especially since HID's are soo cheap now. I remember when $65 was cheap! Now they are like $30-$40 and the DDM's come with lifetime warranty.

Hmmm now to decide 3000k or 6000k fogs...decisions decisions...

What I did was order a complete kit in either temp and then get an extra set of bulbs so you can swap back and forth between 3000K and 6000K.

yeah I have a set of 3k along with 6k in my garage just in case I want to switch or the bulb goes out. I also have some yellow halogen and ice blue halogen 9006 just incase the ballast ever goes out I can just go back.

Duhhhh I don't know why I didn't even think of that...i'm over here thinking like hmm decisions decisions because I don't want to spend like $90 for (2) sets when I can just get one kit and extra bulbs for about $55-$60 total.

paypa u could do all this or you could save some money by going to laminx.com and buying the yellow tint for the fogs. you said brightness is really an issue for you anyway. I think since the fogs arent projectors the glare would be too much for oncoming traffic. I myself considered the 3k HID kit but I am waiting on maverick to see how it turns out

I was considering this but I just wasn't sure how I felt about them sitting as yellow when they weren't on...

I like them. Thats what I did for mine. Yellow bulbs and yellow tint from stickercity. Makes a much deeper yellow when they're on vs just having tint. I like the yellow look though. Makes it look sportier (not rice) considering the yellow came from le Mans, etc.
