w203 fuel gauge not working well
hey for the last few months after a full fill my gas gauge doesn't go all the way to the top. and now after 50 clicks my gauge shows it at 50%, ive checked for fuel leaks but none so far. friend's w202 has same issue but his gauge is totally out of commission. any advice?

fuel gauge problem is a well known issue on W163 (ML). When I had that problem on my ML, I disconnected the connector for fuel pump/fuel sender unit and reconnected after few seconds. That worked. I am not sure where the connector for the fuel pump/sender unit on your car.
If I were you, I would remove the back seat and remove the access panel for the fuel sender unit and disconnect the electrical connection for few seconds and then reconnect.
It's worth the try...

The two gauge sensors are under the back seat under two round covers. What you describe is usually what happens when 1 sensor goes sick.
110 & 120.
