03 c240 4matic wagon grinding noise when turning left

car grinds when turning left noise matches speed of car like grind, quite grind, quite ect its not a constant grind but has gaps depending on speed. it sounds like a caliper backing plate doing it for a while now

here is whats been done

rear pads and rotors noise stilll there

front axelshafts/cv joints both sides noise still there

RR wheel bearing

now the front pads have like 3mm before they hit the sensor I do plan on replaceing them in ther next few weeks (pads and rotors)

the noise remains even when i brake and turn I have inspected the front end and cant see anything thats been rubbing front wheel bearings seem ok

only when turning left and very little when turning right and NO sound when straight

so any ideas???

Are you sure the right front wheel bearing isn't making that noise?

It sounds like a front wheel bearing. You know your CV joints are OK

Do your front tyres show signs of feathering & cupping? Are they Conti SC2 or 3. They can do this.

tires need replaceing

not sure whats on michelens i think the front left tire has some wear on the inside edge of the tire more then the right side of car and more then the outside of same tire

car drives straight

I jacked it up and shook/pulled on the wheels NO play in the fronts

Hmm - a bearing can still be noisy without play (yet) on a 4Matic. It could be those tyres. My Contis did exactly what you explain which is why I chucked the crap off at 15,000Km only partially worn. My noise tendency was opposite to yours which figures because we drive on the other side of the road & the road camber is opposite to yours. No other ideas unless it's brakes but I would then expect some noticeable play in a wheel bearing.
