I know it is supposed to be lifetime fill, but i would change it every 30-50K depending on how you drive. My dealership only changes the filter and what is in the sump which is basically only half the fluid. These trannys use specific ATF fluid and there is a new spec fluid that can be used in all MB transmissions since 2008.
Unless it is a shop that specializes in Mercedes transmissions, take it to the dealer. The fluid level is critical to operation and reliability and needs to be measured at a specific temperature.
