c-class 2003 radio problem
Hi there
Just got into my 2003 c-class with no sound but the radio does come ON but I dont have no sound and shows no cd and no phone ... Navigation still work ...can someone help me please

Do you have a CD changer in the glove compartment? 2003 audio system is a Fiber Optic system. Check and make sure the fiber optic connector on the back of the CD changer is plugged in properly. When the fiber optic connector is disconnected, you will not get audio... the radio will turn on but you won't hear anything.
I found this out when I was fixing my CD changer.

I bought the car with CD changer not working. I opened the CD changer carefully, and I saw 3 small motors (one for moving the cartridge in/out, second one for moving the arm to pick-up/drop-off the CD from the cartridge to the tray in the player, and the third motor is for moving the laser reader track-to-track. The motor that picks-up the CD from the cartridge wasn't moving, so lubed the associated gears and hit it (gently) with the back of the screwdriver. It started working.

I bought the car with CD changer not working. I seem to recall a thread on this, or three.
I have the same issue every once in a while w/ the Harman Kardon system.
The problem usually goes away after a few hours of the car being off.
It happens about twice a year, though usually in the summer.

The other issue I have is that everything will come on, and the only thing the radio will make is static. That also usually goes away after a few hours, but happens about 4x a year.

Yea i hear ya, traveling with out music is so boring and makes the ride seem way longer than it should be.

Ok good then then fiber cable could be damaged almost anywhere, loose connection somewhere, bad amp, bad nav, bad cd changer, bad phone etc could cause no sound issues. Have you done any mods to the car?
To start check the cd changer, Then the back of the navigation. also check the amp in the trunk to see if it has water damage or anything. do you have a sedan or wagon?
