"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
if you could find used parts, id say youd pay no less than $6k with labor. chances are youd need a lot of new stuff and labor would cost more. findng a mechanic to do it would be the hardest part. plenty of them wouldnt want to touch it.
you're talking about adding hydraulics for the clutch, probably a new driveshaft, new tranny x-member? i mean the list goes on and on.
if this were a 69 chevy id say go for it if you could do the work yourself.
all i know is that i was looking casually for not even 3 months before i bought this. and 2 months was watching the price fall. just talkk to your bank, find out how much theyll give you for an 06 6mt c350, make sure you're pre approved, can afford it, and keep your eyes on ebay, cars.com, cacars.com and autotrader.com it'll happen. just dont get inpatient. youve got a nice car to drive in the meantime

Yes sir, the C350 6MT uses the 716.664 while the C230 6MT uses 716.638.
Here is a picture of the C350 6MT and the part number is A 211 260 71
01 (which looks like a W211 part as well. Wonder if you can make the E class 6MT as well.
Here is a picture of the C230 6MT and the part number is A 203 260 30 02 (which does match the W203 code)
I just think the C350 has a more stronger Manual Tranmission because of the extra power.
Also the autos are a little different too as well. The C230 7G is 722.998 and the C350 7G is 722.906
Didn't post pics of the 7G because they both look identical. Maybe the software or the gearing might be diffent..don't really know.

Agree with cp's comment. It will be a huge pain in the butt to convert to manual. I believe there are companies that find you cars that you want. I'm sure they charge you money but that option might be better than paying 1/3 of the car's price to have a tranny swap to manual.
I know for sure you will also need work done with SDS (STAR). Which isn't a problem and isn't hard to do but these shops might charge you minimum 80 bucks an hour and even though it wont take more than 2 hours for coding they will still rake 400 - 500 easy (IMO). They make the programing seem harder than it really is.
There is a member here who I have became good friends with. He had the lock/unlock chirp mod on his car but the guy who did it wasn't too knowledgeable and he lost his Panic Button feature and on top of that paid 80 bucks. It took me max 5 minutes to do and with the correct settings, without loosing the panic feature. Just makes you wonder if they charge you 80 bucks for a 5 min job how much ill they charge you for coding your car.
