C320 POWER SEAT PROBLEM- Please Help
And to top it off, now NONE of the controls for the seat work. I've checked the fuses, all good. I've also checked the connections under the seat- all tightly in place. Last night my husband took apart the door panel and checked the actual switch on the door to see if it was getting power. It is. The only thing we can think of (after searching the forum) is that it could be the CF (Configuration Feature) Relay K24 located in the trunk OR the SCM is bad. My husband took out what looks like the K24 relay (not sure), but didn't open it up to check the internals and solder joints (we werent sure if this was the K24).
I called the mercedes dealership today to order the relay- but they have no idea what a CF relay is (can you believe that!) and they need a part number.
Can someone help me here? Desperate at this point as I am driving with a pillow to reach the pedals.....

I appreciate your help in advance.
Thanks!
)I would suspect that yours is the switch itself as well, we have that problem with Ford's at work frequently and the failure progresses in a very similar manner. I hate to compare the Fords and MBs, but as switch is a switch, not a whole lot different you can make them.
There's 2 screws (T20 if I remember correctly) that hold the motor to the frame rail on the right side. I use a Flexi-screwdriver to access them from the back seat and just started with the bottom screw first. Took alittle patience because the 2 screws are kind of long and your in a awkward position. But thankfully it was pretty easy with the longer flexible screwdriver to remove and replace with the new motor. (plug & play) Purchased the OEM motor from mercedespartsclub.com

I have the same problem in my seat switch. Was it difficult to open the switch ?
Too many springs and little spheres to take care ? Did you work inside of a
plastic bag, to avoid loosing jumping parts ? As you can see, I'm afraid to open it.
Is there any hole that you could spray contact cleaner from the outside ?

For my switch, I removed it from the seat and disassembled it. I think there was 2 or 3 small torx screws. Then I just took some electronic contact cleaner and cleaned all the contacts with it. I also took a razor blade (or a pick. I cant remember) and scraped off any residual buildup on the contact points.
Once I disassembled a '83 500SEC power seat switch. I was scared with the quantity of springs and small spheres inside the switch. Did you find springs jumping out and spheres falling out of their place, when you open your switch ? Does it have memory ?

Your switch is different than mine so I am unsure of the internals on your switch.
Thanks.
Inside there are several individual switches that I could not open. I just sprayed contac cleaner through the open spaces to go inside the switch, where the contacs are. I have moved the switch lever a lot of times to clean the contacts. After one month the seat is still working. Nevertheless I was disappointed not opening and really cleanig the contacts.
