List "Bang for your bucks" mods you've done on your C Class
Whats the most bang for your buck mods you’ve done to your C class??.....it can be any mods...... Will be a good info for anybody who wants to upgrade I guess.
I’ll start it with mine.
Best: Kleemann ring pulley, AMG swaybars and offcourse Bi-xenons
I'd like to hear what everybody says

But yeah, while mufflers look and sound nice, they really are a bad deal. You pay a really steep price to gain no significant HP or in fact lose a few.

Hate the term bang for the buck so let me re-phrase it as what mods would I do again without hesitation;
- ASP pulley (changes the cars personality)
- Audio 10 CD player (good sound + cd player)
- Porterfield brak pads (less dust)
- AMG sway bars (flattens the curves, preserves ride)
- Eibach lowering springs (looks great, preserves ride)
- ITG air filter (extra ponies for cheap)
- C7 wheels (I bought them afterwards)
- H&R spacer (beefs up the rear)
- OBD2 scanner from obd-2.com (comes in handy)
What mods would I skip on the next go around;
- Renntech (Sebring/Remus) exhaust (too quiet)
- Dark window tinting (looks good but is too dark at night)
- 6 CD changer, rarely use it
Jury is still out on these mods;
- Aftermarket IC (still working on it)
- IC Mister (still working on it)
- Labtronic IC Mister controller (still on bench)
Mods to come?
- Chip
- Aquamist vapor injection (maybe)
- XM Radio (maybe)
- headers

Eisanman Race exhaust(3 weeks)
Brabus wood steering wheel(next week)
Illumanated door sills(1 week)
RGB cable(1 week)
Bixenons and new fogs(1 week)
Digi Climate control(1 week)
My attention will now be on my new '03 A4 3.0 Cabriolet !!

Yeah I kinda regret that I didn't put 18" wheels...now changing my wheels is what I'm thinking more often since I'm going to install the C32 brakes soon.... damn...I love modding car too but my wallet says otherwise ...

hmmmmm......
Color coded door handles (made my car go from looking like an expensive hyndui to a great looking MB )
Leather/Suede Interior (You have to see it to understand how much it transformed the interior)
Upcoming...
Digital Climate Control
Euro Impact strips
All of those mods cost less than $200 (with the exception of the leather interior). And each one significantly changes the cars appearance/function IMO.

What did you have to give for the illuminated door sills? They had some on eBay for $500. I would pay up to 200 for them, but would rather spend the 500 bones on sway bars.
Just bought the car, got cloth seats. Using the money I saved for a Audio 10 CD radio that just arrived, silver sheepskins that arrived last night, and Koba H7 bulbs. Also bought the clear side markers, although I like the looks of the painted ones better.
I want to swap out the aluminum consul parts for real wood, and I bought a star for the hood. There are just some things I like old Mercedes style better.
The color matched door handles on the 2003 C230 K look better than the others. They made me get the C7 wheels for half price! I like the Pilot Sports and the 17 inch rims. Would like the rims chromed though.
Future mods may be:
XM radio
PowerChip for 91 octane (204HP)
Porterfield brak pads
ITG air filter or K&N
Aquamist vapor injection (maybe)
Items I don't want:
Digi Climate control - I have had them in my last 4 cars, all have failed and cost major bucks. The standard aid cond controls almost never fail.

The only thing that I'd think twice before purchasing is the 'el cheapo' CL grill (the MB star section thing fell off) you've found on Ebay.
