also learn to speak properly on this forum, you'll get bashed for typing like a 2nd grader.
I know this forum is for MB, you're just a noobie so i would say anything. This forum is meant to share info with other members and help each other out, not give negative feedback and bash on other members rides. Dont be like a former member here (Xhale), because the outcome will not be pleasant. Once you help other members on here then maybe you can actually say something.

Phister helps quite a bit on this forum, so maybe you should keep quiet before you burn some bridges with respected members.

What I don't understand is how can a person have the nerve to say something like that to a senior member when they only have 8 posts? GTFO...

Anyone who would refer to this forum as a blog does not have the requisite intelligence necessary for posting on any forum.
What's wrong with Hondas with BOVs? If it's FI, it could probably blow the doors off any non-AMG C class.

Phi's car is super sexy and I think the drop is real nice. I think it's Xhale, his Toyota job is paying well and now he upgraded to a C350. He probably smokes CLS550s now and his car handles better in snow than on dry pavement

Thanks guys...
Enough wasting our time with that wanna-be Xhale
On to good news though. the boxes for the intake are coming along, I just need to swing by Lowes to see how I want to latch the two halves of the box together, I was thinking of the a pull latch kind of like the ones on our battery/cabin filter cover. I'll have to get some silicone or rubber weather strips to keep it tight. About to head out and see what I can find. I'm doing fiberglass boxes first then I'm going to try and build the cf ones.
Also how should I do my ducts? keep it sleek and mount the ducts under the hood or on top and have the rivets showing? I was thinking under to keep the lines simple on the car.

I'd go to a Fastenal and see what they have; I trust their fasteners much more than any big box store.
I'm with Karo; don't go through all this trouble and try to go subtle.

this fastener is just for the fiberglass intake box so it doesnt have to be heavy duty just to keep it closed.
The rivets on the scoop would look pretty aggressive and stand out. Might black chrome the rivets.

Phister is a long time respected member here, so you aren't going to make very many friends here with comments like this. Consider this a warning: you are free to your opinions here, but as long as you don't insult or disrespect other members.

Well if you really wanted to follow the forum for info then why didn't you just become a member a long time ago? That way you can post your ideas and get opinions.

I hope you don't go to many car shows, because you will see lots of well done, very cool pieces of equipment that you won't like. Or maybe you will learn that you don't have to LIKE it to APPRECIATE both it and the effort that went into it.
For my taste his car is a bit too low, but that in no way lessens my ability to appreciate the work he has put into it, or the condition he keeps it in. Honestly, if my car was much lower I'd scrap it on everything. There is a reason I don't have it lower or any kind of lip (aside form the difficulty in getting one for the Coupes) -- I would tear the damn thing off on a curb the first day!
This intake idea is going to be pretty darn cool. I can't wait to see the boxes wrapped in CF -- even though there is *no* CF in my car at all. It is a clean, well done car in awesome shape. Phil, keep going, you have an awesome ride, even if it is very different from my more or less stock looking (and superior ) Coupe.
Geesh I'm rambling tonight. -- Soapbox mode off again!

its all good MW... I can appreciate a person who takes pride in keeping a car simple and in almost original state. Its almost like the import phase where it was all about flash back in the 90s and now its more about JDM parts and keeping the cars clean and simple. My car just sits lower because im on baby 17s lol, compared to someone like Roland who has 19s.

Cant wait to see the final results and I agree with Karo, dont try and hide the scoop and the black chrome rivets sounds like a great idea! Your car looks great and dont let the Xhale wannabe get to you. There always has to be one, right. Good luck on the intake.
