Dang Phi! Looks like I need to read back through your thread to catch up on your insanity! For the record, orange calipers are where it's at ;-)

lol naw, even though I like orange I wont do my calipers that color. Maybe I'll do the candy teal calipers with the bronze or fully polished wheel.

If I rode as low as you, I wouldn't be able to get into my driveway! But your ride always looks great. Make sure to share a stock ride-hight pic for us to giggle about.

Ohh those coils look so clean nice choice,

what do you think about Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilovers? I'm looking around trying to find the best coils for the price, this is harder then I thought

Shah, don't do the Ksport. I've ready some horror stories about their quality, and everyone of their products is labeled "track use only" so when you try to get warranty help they go nope, you used them on the street.

Thanks for the heads up!! I was pretty close to actually buying them from my cousin, he gets a distributor price so it sounded like a good idea haha

got the BCs finally on and adjusted the way I want, well for the front at least, the rears can go lower but I ordered some #1 pads so I dont have to adjust the perch all the way down, I have about a 0.75" left to drop it but I was thinking about tossing on my 10mm spacers in the rear to push it out more an not dropping the rear anymore. Only thing with the BCs is that the adjusting perch on the rear is on the bottom of the coil spring instead of the top, so when I have to adjust I have to unbolt the control arm and the shock and adjust it to where I want and rebolt everything back up. Think I've mastered it where I can do it in like 20mins or less a side lol I know all the size sockets I need so its a pretty quick switch. As for ride.... its smooth as butter, I have it 12 clicks from soft (has 30 way dampening), a little on the soft side for DD and when I go on the highway I put it around 20 so it stays planted at high speeds. I have to say this is the best bang for the buck coilovers I think, for a grand, it has great build quality and every bolt washer to make it a easy swap. The new sway links are great too, solid build and its required because the new position of the bracket is shorter than the OEM location.

As for adjusting, its WAYYYY easier than the TEINS. All I have to do is jack up the suspension from the control arm a bit so the strut/shock isnt loaded, unlock the lower perch and twist the threaded body BY HAND, fastest adjustment ever! No having to use the spanners that much, just towards the end when you want to tighten everything back up. For the rear is goes the same, but when adjusting the height of the car, you also have to adjust the shock. It's recommended that you give 2" of travel compared to the static height (height of when car is on the ground). So to do this you first measure from the center of the wheel to the fender to get the static measurement, then after you get that number, raise up the car and measure from the center of the wheel to the fender again. There should be a 2" difference in travel. I have my height at 13" so I had to adjust the shock to make it 15" to give it the 2" of travel recommended.

For dampening adjusting, its a breeze as well and it clicks every time you turn it so you can count the exact numbers you want. I was going to go with 15 to be in the middle but I wanted to be on the softer comfy side. The extensions on the rear adjusters are great, I have them hanging out of the carpet, but think I'll relocate them a bit higher so just the knobs stick out instead of the cable.

I'll have pics of them installed in a bit, I'm loading the pics up now.

Heres the front coilover, thats the height I have them right now, so I can go alot lower hehe, have about a less than a finger gap in front, and 1.5 in rear.

The lovely dampening knob

rear coilover

Heres how the spring sits on the perch

Looks good phi. All said and done, if I went with the same coil overs, how much would it cost to do the conversion?

Depends if you're DIYing Mike lol if you're asking me how much I would charge I dunno. But you can call around and see. I worked a deal out with a shop and got the coilovers + extenders + shipping all for a grand.

Thanks man.... he's a lil thief stealing the other dogs rawhides and hiding them. Once the pads come in I'm gonna really drop it and see how low the coilovers can go. Up next CCWs Classics!

Hey Phister. The car is looking good.
Did you get the hood scoops hooked up and the intake working yet? I looked back and didn't see anything about it for a long time.

not yet... been working on getting my new suspension on. Have to order the rain covers for the filters first since its been raining lately here. The current setup on my intake is working good right now so I might wait till spring to do it.

finally got my stance dialed in for what I want right now. As for driving, having it at 12 clicks from soft is perfect for DD, car rides smoother than when I had it on stock setup.

Heres some pics from today.

My new emblem lol had to replace the TEIN decal on my fairing.

This is what was parked in my friends preowned MB dealership

This was at the paint shop my friends dad works at down the street

Vandalizing at its worst.... POOR X6!!!
