"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
Neither are the wrong choice. A little chrome in the center will make those pop! Id personally do the star, re-establishes that tradition, plus think it flows better in the center of a spinning wheel, but you can't go wrong!

Well ill test the amg and if it doesn't look right I can just sand the other star caps and paint it chrome. Found a can earlier when I was searching in my garage.

Ok guys I was wanting to make some room in my trunk so I bought a shallow sub and removed my Eclipse 88120 12" sub and box. So I have this enclosure for sale now. Here's a link to my craigslist post. Would prefer locals, but willing to ship at payers expense. I'll more pics of the box and sub later today.

Ok I'll sell the sub and box to members here for 200 + shipping or 200 locally.

What all is needed to get that mother up and running in our cars? I'm guessing it will take an amp, and some wiring from the head unit to the trunk. Anything else? I'd like to fill out the low end off my system.

you need an amp, amp wiring kit (I recommend 4 gauge), a high-low converter (if you're using stock HU), rca (2ch or mono), and speaker wires. If you come down I can do the install at my friends shop for you, it'll take a couple of hours at the most. The hi low converter is like $13 at walmart for a scosche one. If you come down and let me install it, I have the speaker wire and an extra RCA cable I think. I'll have to look in my box of audio parts. Heres what the converter looks like, you just tap it onto the factory sub if you have one or the rear speakers if you dont the sub.

OK, let me start shopping amps, what power range should I look for? Also, I have an aftermarket HU (Pioneer AVIC-my coolest mod) How does that complicate/simplify things? Maybe we can do it all this weekend ;-)

If we do it this weekend it'll have to be kinda of early because i work at night. The sub can handle a lot, 500 continuous and 1000 max. Plus the sub is DVC so I have it set up mono which if you push it good enough it'll sound like 2 subs instead of one. heres how its wired. Since you have a aftermarket HU you dont need the hi/low converter. you just have to run the rca cable to the back of the unit, you'll probably want to get 2ch rca, which I might have, I'll look in a bit.

if you want good power you should get a class D mono amp if you want to just push the sub. Search www.crutchfield.com and see their selection. You can buy from them or you can search ebay or google the amp you like and see if it's cheaper elsewhere.

Good deal, I'll get back with you in PM to set something up. If I buy it off Crutchfield it probably won't be here by this weekend anyway. I'm going to check around locally and see if I can find one of those amps. If you find the wires I'll buy them from you. Otherwise I'll just stop by Car-Toys and pick it up.
