Well the 463 Comand turn up this morning. Fitted this afternoon and all worked as a standard CD player. I have a few questions. Where does the CD changer wiring go. When the comand is reprogramed will the steering wheel controls work again. And where does analogue speed signal go on the rear of the comand also the button light do not work

Thanks

Comand 463 in a W203

It took 15 Minutes. You will have to remove the fuse board with the 50amp fuse on it for the ABS. This is under the bonnet at the rear by the drivers A pillar. You must first remove the Silver unit to the left fuse box unplug the connectors an take it out. Then remove the 3 screws holding the black fuse board in place. It is best to have the wind screen wipers in mid pos. When the fuse board is removed you will see a plug marked 24, you will need to connect the speed pulse to Pin 3. To run the wire into the car remove and then foam rubber at the back of the box. The wire will then go thru that hole and appear be hide the steering wheel. Open the driver’s door and remove the access panel near the drivers side air vent. The wire will be in there. If you have the radio already removed if you look in the access panel you will see light from the radio hole, thread the wire thru to there. Connect this wire to Connector A pin 1 and Connector C2 pin 6 And all should work ok.

Parts needed

New C/CLK Adapter loom RHD A203 540 10 09
New C/CLK Adapter loom LHD A203 540 09 09
GPS Antenna A230 820 08 75

From To Colour Note Usage
C pin 1 C2 pin 9 Brown/Red ACANbus. high
C pin 2 C2 pin 8 Brown ACANBus low
C pin 5 C1 pin 6 Red/Black CD Changer +
Cpin 6 C1 pin 5 Brown CD Changer -
C pin 4 C2 pin 10 Blue/Black D2B Wakeup

You also need the coax cable from the rear of the comand to the GPS Ant. I’ve lost the part number, But when I get my monthly invoice from the garage I will post the part number

When the comand is powered up it will work first time. Including the lighting, Speed volume and all the indash displays and steering wheels controls. But i did go into the MB garage to have it recoded

c230 sport sedan
In my 2004 c230 sedan it looks like the plug marked 24 (not sure if I have it correct) is empty and has 3 pins. Is that the correct connector for the speed pulse signal? I have a 463 command and right now when I try to use the navigation it always tells me my current location can not be found on the digitized map.

thanks,
Mike
