2001 DIY REAR BRAKE PAD PROBLEM! HELP!!!
Ok...so I just failed inspection because my pads were rubbing on the hub of the rotor....non-dealer tech said I needed to replace my rotors...did that; pads are STILL RUBBING! Looks like the rear pads are too long for the caliper; Pads are OEM...thinking that somebody put on calipers for a later model year on the car; but not sure...
Please help; gotta get this fixed ASAP! If pics help; I'll get some up tomorrow; 10 o'clock at night here in Philly...

has to be the pads because it's rubbing on both sides. I don't think I am installing them incorrectly; I even have the Haynes manual to assist....this SHOULD be a pretty easy install; remove pin from caliper; pop out pads with screwdriver; install news pads; reinstall pin...pretty straight forward especially since you don't have to take off the caliper...I'll have pics up a little later...

I really appreciate everybody's input and advice. The problem WAS the pads...THE DEALERSHIP gave me the wrong pads for the car. Sport package pads are about 1/4" longer...Went to autozone and they pulled pads for both with and without sports package...Saw what was wrong immediately....just goes to show you the dealerships don't guarantee the best service...
