Driver side seat noise
Driver side seat noise
I just came back from my first service A. One of my request for the service was (on top of service A) to check the squeaking noise that I get whenever I go over the bump. They told me it was from sway bar bushing and by lubricating the bushing would solve the problem. However when I picked up the car (service A+4 wheel alignment+tire rotation/re-balance) the squeaking noise gotten worse. This time I can tell where it was comming from. It was from the underneath of driver side seat. I can duplicate the noise by slightly moving my body even without starting the car. Anyone experience this problem? I will take the car in again however I would like to know anyone fixed this problem. I think simple lube job would solve the problem (I hope).
I have the exact same noise(from the drivers seat) and its driving me crazy. I took my car in for Service B recently and I asked them to look at the problem and they said they replaced a couple of clips that were broken, but the noise still persists. Problem is that it does not happen all the time. If I get it fixed, I will let you know here. Please do the same.

For this problem I had the plastic parts around the bottom of seat replaced.
Seems to be OK now.

I've had a noisy seat, however there were three separate problems.
The first and simplest was the two large springs that support the bottom cushion (simply some lube).
The second was the springs in the back creaked when flexed. The back of the seat is real easy to take off, remove the springs, clean and lube.
The third one (the car's at the shop right now for this part) was a mis-formed piece of plastic, it seemed the shot in the mold was short and it was thin in places (read holes). When it flexed it creaked.
I'm hope this helps solve the problems of a noisy seat.
