Was driving on my way home today from the beach and started smelling something smoking.. pulled off the freeway to find this little surprise. Front left deflated tire:

The inside of the tire has a good 8 inch cut from a manhole cover that wasn't properly leveled with the highway. Not much could have been done those **** things stick out right in the middle of the highway I was going down.

The rim seems to be fine and solid. Needless to say I'm going to have a busy morning..

Good thing you're alright man! At least it was the inside and not the outter rim. That would've sucked.

Please tell me you had some girls in the car with you to make up for this

None. For what some people say about them, they're actually pretty solid.

Thanks man I appreciate it! The new Vredstein tire for the front retailed for $190 but I was able to get it for $150.
Funny thing I went to go get the new one mounted and balanced and they discovered a screw in the front right tire. It was on the sidewall and they repaired it luckily.
Yeah I'd take yours to a local shop.. they'll probably be able to fix it.

ahah thanks man!

little update.. brakes will be going on within the next week. i was thinking about painting the calipers but i think i'll just leave them as they are for now. going to be adding a color matched lip, a custom diffuser and will fix some other things up.

paint them while they are off then you don't have to wait for them to dry for like two days
reason why i haven't done mine yet... i have the paint but i have no down time hahah.

yeah that's what i was thinking aha

but i can't decide what color? i've always liked yellow or even maybe matte black but i don't think it'll contrast too well, at least the yellow.

i'm kind of hoping the silver goes with the trim of the car and the rims.

that color actually looks pretty good.. it would match the tails a little. i'll definitely think about that.

Little sneak peak:

Got stainless steel brake lines installed as well:

Also picked up a FRP lip that I'll have color matched later on:

Custom quad diffuser will be coming on later.. as for the brakes the stopping power is much better. Much thanks to Serge and Jon down at Hyevon. Amazing work done by them.

Looking good man. Can't wait to see the Diffuser and Lip. Definitely top 10 best looking W203!!!

Is the diffuser going to to be CF or color matched like the lip?

Sorry we chased your friend out of the forum. I know he was your buddy....you know how it is in this crazy w203 community. Everything just got out of control quick!!!

Thanks man I appreciate it! Yours looking amazing too! Definitely need to start coming out to some meets..

Not sure on that part yet.. I was talking with James from JL-Motoring today and he's planning on creating a new mold for the w203 diffusers out of the eBay ones that have been mass-produced. CF might set it off some but I'll have to wait and see in person.

Friend? Not even ahah.. that guy was ridiculous.. sad to say. Saw some of his posts on his other account and that **** is not cool. Good looking out, though. And that thread you made was **** hilarious.

If you're not into the whole CF scene then I think Matte/Flat black will look good (instead of color matched) but that's just my opinion. Sort of like a black w204 (to give it contrast and to set it off). With CF I think you have to love it or hate it. My next mod that I have in mind is wrapping my car Matte White with Matte Black roof and wrapping wing and lip in matte black. I'm kind of tired of the CF.

Ya you have to come to the next Cerritos meet. I think next one is 21st.

Yeah I was talking about that with James when I picked the lip up. Not sure yet. I need to get some touch up work done before anything happens with the lip. Definitely agree about the CF, though. Either you like it or you don't.
Matte White? I don't think I've seen that before.. that'll be different for sure.
Ahh whys it got to be on a Thursday?

That I'm not sure.. but he's basically going to take the eBay one and make a mold out of it that actually fits to our bumpers. I think it'll be a quad diffuser that comes in FRP and CF.
