Complimentary Safety First Inspection

Complimentary Safety First Inspection
Anyone know what the "Complimentary Safety First Inspection" is? The Mercedes Dealer near me is offering this inspection free but I am just curious if it is worth while or is it an inspection that checks things like the seatbelts...
Anyone ever have this inspection done? What does it include?
By the way, I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow. But I just wanted to see if anyone else knew anything about this.

No clue, but I will bet that it will be things like tread depths, that the seatbelts work, check that all the lights and horn work, wash your car for you -- and then give you the list of other items that they noticed during the inspection that you might want to have repaired.
My guess is a reason to get you into the dealership and the service department. But you probably get a free car wash out of it.

Think of it as a "door buster" item. :-) To get you in the door... then they will recommend you fix bunch of things.
Let them 'find' all the things that need replacement. Don't fix anything there. Research and try to replace/repair those parts yourself. That's what I would do.

Anyways I called them and they said they inspect things like brakes, suspension, fluids, etc...

I got that email, too. I plan to use the occasion to remind them to make sure my car is up to date on all the campaigns. Other than that, I'll thank them for any suggestions and either fix it myself or take it to an indy. Of course, if they give me a car wash, I wouldn't turn that down!

Therefore, I am going to use this opportunity to have the dealer hopefully tell me what the problem is. So I can buy the parts and fix it myself (if it is do-able)

I have that inspection done when I bring my car in all the time, All they do is check your lights and horn and make sure you have everything in your MB safety kit, They gave me new tape and gauze since I used some, oh yeah and bandaids.
I was already in having warrantee work done though
