19's suck. don't get them. lots of members will tell you the same (yes I'm being sarcastic.)

19s are not as bad as people think. just get quality tires that can compensate a little for the increased rim size and you should be fine. mine are more than bearable in terms of ride quality and cabin noise is almost nonexistent.

I'm struggling between 18s & 19s myself. Im thinking 19s cause are rides to sit like 4*4s, unless running coilovers. I'm currently running Renntech springs, so I'm leaning towards 18s right now because I have no plains for coilovers in the future

Thx for the feedback Frank. It's been hard figuring out who's running coilovers or springs with 19s. Page 28 of your thread, are these more pics of your car with Renntech springs & 19s? Can I ask what spring pad & tire size your running? Think you just sold me on 19s

tire life span is completely dependent on your tire brand, compound, and driving style. doesn't have anything to do with tire size much.
i had 18" LM6 reps when i first started modding this car, moved through 4 sets of 19" (Axis, HRE, Carlsson, DCR) before going back to 18" (BBS RE) and then back to 19" (BBS LM) and now the 18" BBS LMs. if you count the stocks...it's like 9 sets of wheels in 8 years. lmao
as far as ride comfort...there really isn't a whole lot of differences. it has more to do with your tire choice.
performance tho, the lighter the wheel the better. my RE was the lightest at 20lbs each, but couldn't say no to a good deal on LMs, so i got them in 19" and then a friend finally decide to part with his 18" so i jumped on it and sold the 19".

the pic in this thread is with 19" and the RENNtech springs. on RENNtech springs I had the #4 pads I believe. I didn't want the rear to be lower than the front. other pics with the RENNtech springs are the ones with either LM6 reps, the Axis wheel in black, and the HREs if they are still showing in my thread.
I think i had a revisit on my modding stage later in the thread around 50 some pages. you can see them there. it has couple side profile shots when i still had the AMG kit.

I'm sitting on 19's now on stock suspensions. I am very happy with it, i do not track my car and is my daily driver. I had some issues with the first set of tires i had (federal brand, it came with the wheels used when i bought them, they were too noisy) but when i switched to general uhp's, got them brand new, so far daily driving wise, it's all good.
You just might feel a little more bumps on the road, but no biggy. If you are going just for looks and plan to drop it, like me eventually, i prefer 19's.

...a panty dropper...
I have only ran 19s on my car with tein springs and it sits perfect and rides fine. Had black monoblock VI reps with polished lips and now have Maya RT5s powdercoated with a flat black face with gloss black lips. The tires do play a big role in comfort. I have toyos on mine and they ride just fine. I like 19s over 18s any day. Just my 2 cents.

Linea Corse makes the LM rep pretty decent. they also have the LM-R style. cannonball55 has them in 19" and I think he was trying to sell the wheels since he was parting out the car for sell.

go with the 19" you wont regret it...the ride is fine, I didnt notice much of a differnece between stock and my 19" on stock suspension. Plus they do the best to eliminate the gap and def make the car look more mean than 17's...but again the smaller tire height means less absorbtion of road imperfections = rougher ride...but again your tgalking an 1" so it will be minimal...im running 19" TSW offset with now yokohoma and nitto in the rear and hankook in the front...(different rears due to blown tire on the highway a few months back)
