I'm currently running continental DWS. So far they have been good in dry and wet conditions. It hasn't snowed much here in Denver yet so I can't give any information on that yet. It should be snowing pretty heavily here in the next couple days so I'll re-inform you then, if you would like.

Since I have had 3 different sets of A/S tires on my car, I'll rate them from worst to best:
3)Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S - Good snow traction, decent ride and handling, terrible treadwear.
2)Michelin Pilot A/S Plus's - Great overall ride and handling. Really good snow traction, excellent wet traction, pretty quiet, excellent treadwear, and expensive.
1)Continental Extreme Contact DWS - Even better wet handling than the Pilot A/S (which is pretty crazy since the Pilots were excellent), not near as good dry handling as the Pilots, but still good. Excellent snow traction, VERY quiet, and so far treadwear looks to be as good or better than the Pilots. 12K and the "S" for snow traction is still showing and tires measure slightly more than 8/32". Plus, they are really reasonably priced.

I am on my second set of bridgestone potenza RE960AS pole position Got 40k out of first set great all around tire. But i will be trying the DWS's on my 17 inch wheels when i get them from matt. Then turn my 16 inch rims into winter wheels with good snow tires on them.

Johnand did a great job of spelling it out. I've heard nothing but rave reviews on the Conti DWS' Check out the back to back comparison on at TireRack.com very compelling video, and considering that they are a lot cheaper than the competition, it seems like a pretty safe bet!

- I currently have Pzero Nero's in the rear of my C55 and they have given me pretty good wet and dry traction.
- I'll be going with the Pllot A/S Plus next time around, they seem to be the exact tire I'm looking for.
- A friend of mine likes the S.drives on his 500E
- My brother loves the Hankook V12's on his S4, best bang for the buck

Don't be a sheep.
phister's list is pretty good. Most summer tires do wear pretty quickly, but even a long-wearing summer tire will be more fun than any all-season tire (as long as you don't pick an awful summer tire, of course - I'm sure that there are some that are truly awful).
I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics (not as good as PS2s per Glyn) on the Benz and Yoko Neova AD08s on the CRX; both are pretty good summer tires. Falken Azenis (the new version with "K" at the end) have gotten some pretty decent reviews (can turn greasy in autox/track environments, but I don't think you'd be doing that) and they're more reasonable than some others. Look at reviews on Tirerack, the tire section of this forum, etc.

Today, Colorado had a pretty decent snow storm and I just got home. It's currently 5 degrees outside with snow covered roads and I have to say that the DWS performed very well in the snow for an all season tire. I did, on a couple instances, broke traction but getting off the gas, I immediately regained traction. Overall I will say that these tires performed great in the current conditions and I always felt that I had complete control of my car.

I installed Conti Extreme Contact DWS's and they are all they are cracked up to be! Lots of snow up here in Thunder Bay and they perform very well. Also, great on dry and wet... a lot more quiet than the OEM Conti's that were previously on the C280.

Installed DWS on Monday of this week, rain on Monday night and tires held up nicely. Can't wait for the snow, I was running ContiPro Contacts before. These are very quiet ride quality outstanding. Feels like I'm driving a new car.
