disconnecting battery and removing ecu for tune
the threads I looked at were so jumbled with information, I'd like a clear cut response if possible
I will be sending my ECU into Jeremy @ OE soon for a tune
Ive done this several times in the past with my old 02 Camaro SS, but all these warnings about disconnecting the battery has got me scurred
so
1)proper procedure for disconnecting battery prior to ECU removal (are there just small metric nuts (like 7-10mm that loosen the terminals?)
2) what tools are needed to remove plastic cover to gain access to ECU
3) ECU removal is nothing more than unclamping the connections, etc, correct, no tools?
Ive been too lazy to look at the plastic cover, and being in Kansas City away from my dad's ridiculous garage, I have access to a very limited amount of tools, so if there's anything I need to get, itd be nice just to know so I dont have to stop halfway through to run to ACE after I have the damn batter disconnected
thanks!
