Question about sparkplugs!
Hello all, my first post here! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The other day I went to the store and bought twelve Bosch sparkplugs for my C320 -03.
But when I got home, I noticed that two of the sparkplugs didn`t have the same packaging as the other ten.
So, on two of the boxes it says Bosch Super Plus FR8DPP33+ Yttrium.
On the other ten it says Bosch Super Plus FR8DPP33+ Platinum / Iridium
All twelve sparkplugs has the same article number! (0 242 230 500)
Would this have any negative impact on the engine? Is it ok to use/mix them?
Hope you understand my question and my bad english, haha!
Regards
Christian

Since they all have the same part number, theoritically, it shouldn't cause any problem.
However, why take a chance? If I were you, I'd go back to the store and ask them for replacement of those 2 plugs to match with the remaining 10.

Welcome!
They are probably ok. The "FR8DPP33+" is the significant thing to look at. That should be stamped in the steel part or lettered in the ceramic insulator. If they all match you should be ok. If you want to check further, you can check the length of threads to make sure they are all the same and you can check that the gap is set the same on all of them. Of course, they should visually look the same, but beyond that, checking much else would be pretty difficult.

Christian - I think they are just newer & older versions of the same thing. For peace of mind get the store to give you 12 the same.

You want to see the Tech's run when a V12 comes into the dealership I use for service.
Imagine if you had asked for 24 plugs
