Probably dumb question... but will a tune reduce the throttle response lag like a sprint booster as well (i get that one is modifying the throttle signal, and the other is a fuel map adjustment) Just didn't know if the tune also did anything for the throttle signal or if it would still be best to get a sprint boost in addition to the tune.

If you dont get Gary, hit up Jerry at jerry@eurocharged.com he responds pretty quick, he even checked up on me to see if the ecu was going good.

that's what i tried at first... but its a real pain to remove the ECU for the m271... two of the screws holding it in place are next to impossible to access.

I would assume I can but, can I use my PLX OBII wifi cable to complete the upgrade? It should be the same except it connects via wifi vs. USB.
Also, is this worth doing to an 03' C240 being that it is such a slo-mobile.

Just got this done, and got my ECU back today. After reinstalling, I drove around a bit and got a CEL (check engine light). I asked if something like this would happen and both individuals I spoke to at Eurocharged said it wouldn't. Well it did, now what do I do?
Apparently my ****ty AutoEnginuity software doesn't want to connect to my Benz (worked fine on my MX5 and S14). Will resetting the ECU to get rid of the CEL wipe any flashed data that has been put on the chip?

Let us know what code it is

I had the guys at PepBoys scan it for me tonight (for free) since my AutoEnginuity USB OBDII thing apparently doesn't want to work with this vehicle.
P200A - Bank 2/5 hot film mass air flow sensor
P201C - mixture format self adaptation (fuel trim)
I had them clear the codes, and drove it home with no issues. I also don't really notice any difference in how the car drives. Maybe because I have a 6 speed and not a b!tchstick? I dunno...

I tried the remote tune with Clint but it didn't work. Clint recommended trying it again on a different laptop or sending the ecu in. Can't really be w/o a car so I'm waiting for Clint to respond to my email. I'd like to get this done soon...sounds like everyone with the C320 have been very pleased.

Well CEL came back on this evening while driving around. Needless to say I'm not thrilled, at all.
(will be taking it apart again tomorrow to see if I missed something, although it's unlikely, since it's so straight forward)

I went over everything with a fine tooth comb today (so to speak) and everything seemed in place. I drove it around a bit more and bough a new OBD2 diagnostic tool. By the time I got back home the CEL was off and no codes were coming up. I'm presuming that perhaps it needed to be driven a bit and readjusted? That's really the only thing I can come up with. Either way I'm glad it's fine now.
ON another note, while I may not see any drastic improvements in power, I did notice that I'm getting about a mile more per gallon, which is awesome. So even if that's all I can actually "see/feel" I'm satisfied.
Just a mention that if you do this and you get a CEL with similar codes to what I got, don't worry, just drive it a day or two and it should be fine. /shrug
