Oil Leak
Hey everyone, i just noticed today that there is oil leak on my car. I looked underneath the car and the only place i see the oil is under the oil pan. It's not a major oil leak but still, so do you guys have any idea what's causing the leak? I did an oil change about 3 months ago and they used the mobile 1 0w-40. I was thinking that they might forgot to tighten the screw or something

Yep, the picture would help, there are a couple of places it could leak. Mine started with the front crank seal leaking about 1K after a service. Completely unrelated, in my case and relatively inexpensive to fix.

It's really hard to determine where that is. Did you remove the plastic underbody panel? If not, it's impossible to determine where the leak is coming from.

Looks like the pictures were taken with out removing the plastic underbody panels.
Please re-take the pictures with those panels removed.

^^^^Take of the plastic cover, clean the area, wait a few hours and see where the oil is coming from. I had a recent oil leak 2....the oil pan screw and the copper washer were the problem...Luckily i needed an oil change, so it was an easy fix.

in the posted picture (above), I don't see the copper crush washer at all. My guess is that whoever did the oil change, they didn't even put the copper washer.

I requested the mobile 1 0W-40, and I was looking at the paper work and it said that they used about 9 thing of mobile 1 0W-40 and they charge me about $10 for each

You will need to remove the drain bolt, put in a new crush washer and you will need to put the drain bolt back on. When you remove the drain bolt, all of the oil will come out - you will have to decide if you want to collect the oil in to a container and pour it back in to the engine OR pour new oil.
When the Goodyear folks changed the oil, what kind of oil filter did they use? paper media type or fleece material filter?

they all should have the 14 cent crush washer. and you have to replace it every time you do an oil changer or you will have problems. Heck when i did mine this way i replaced the bolt to because i could tell someone did not put it back on right way overtightened and rounded off some. rmeuropean has both for less then $2 lol
