Your the one who put a sack of ***** on his rear view mirror. You first had the fuzzy dice now you have the fuzzy *****. Don't make me tell everyone the PM you sent me about your "microphone" shifter that slaps your on the face everytime you shift.

"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
check it:
09+ SLK350 (red stripe) has diff heads, intake, and 82mm TB (up from 74mm) than the c350
SLK350 shares the same heads with S400 & ML450.
S400 and ML450 share intake manifold and TB with the c350.
Using powers of deduction...
C350 heads can accept SLK350 intake manifold, which in turn can accept the 82mm TB assuming the electrical connector is transferrable... that said, the c350 shares the same 74mm TB as the 01+ e55, which the e55 can switch over to the MB OEM 550 series 82mm TB in question by mere plug n play.
In total conclusion, the factory w203 c350 can accept the 09+ slk350 intake manifold and 82mm TB.
I've not only used EPC, but the e55 forums, as well as Jerry @ EC, and folks at MMP.com wading through this information.

The point?
It's known by now the regular m272 is starved for air at upper RPM. The SLK350 has a 7200 redline, up 700 from the c350. To allow the breath necessary to continue the powerband, intro the upgraded intake mani (found only on SLK350 09+ and SL350 08+) and the 82mm TB (07+ 550s, gl450, et al)

there isnt a practical application. only an extreme one. its just interesting to see exactly what was changed amoung the two.
but its fun for me to research this out. i cant accept vague references to whats different, it drives me crazy.
EDIT for fun:
part numbers in question
"SLK350" cylinder heads: 2720106020 & *6120
throttle body: 2731410325
intake manifold: 2721403001

But thank you - I'm proud of my research.
I'll document anything I do that is off the beaten trail. I have yet to be to MO-KAN dragstrip since my move to KC, but I'll do what I can for the sake of precise results.

Forgive me for my ignorance but what does a S/C have to do with refinement of an engine? It isn't a technical thing by a long shot but I prefer superchargers over turbochargers because of sound. Man I love the whine. Cale, you have been in the C230K cars, right? Not just parroting Glyn on this?

A V12 BT was dropped in an E Class. From what I heard it's a very hard job to tackle and I'm sure it's very expensive to do.

It's too crazy. The owner breaks traction at 90mph.

more info about jeremy tuning for intake manifold slk350
Hi cpbeasley,
I saw on many blog on your installation. You put slk350 intake manifold on a c350... i would like to have more info about the ecu tuning. Did you find a way to remove error code? and my other question is about the throttle body... can i fit my 74mm the time to find a cheap ptice for a 82mm?
Thank you for your time.
