Might want to revise the title to include "sway". I was all ready to order a drink.

I do like the warning about doing the install possibly causing death.

Done, I thought maybe PDF didn't show again. I've been having problems with PDF documents uploading half way and being corrupt

IS this for black series CLK ?
I checked the pn's when it came out to see if it might be compatible.
Considering what other charge for thicker bars this might be a better deal.

Did you find pn's for these?
And yeah, I'll take a fresh squeezed lime margie with some Anejo please.

Black Series *sway* bar

The rear bar for the BS won't interchange with the CLK rear bars, and thus, I would assume won't interchange for us. The ends curve differently and are a bit longer. I will post a link when I get a chance. I would suspect similar difference in the front.

dynamite with the 209 clk350 has the BS bar front and rear. it fits. the BS just has that extra kink for the exhaust where we only have one kink for ours.

Frank, he did post that the shop that did the install had to modify the end of the bars. I have to find the pictures of a comparison of the regular CLK bar and the CLK BS bars side by side. Let me find the reference. I will try to find his post where he said they were modified as well, just for clarification.

I think that dynomite05 posted that, but I can't find it now, but more information on the differences the CLK guys found in the bars below, along with photographs and links to the thread.

might be just the size of the end links??

because if you were to bent the bar you would actually change the stiffness that was designed to be.

I'm not getting it - why is this better than Eibach or H&R sways that are designed for our cars?

Ok, PTE was the member that posted the pictures of the CLK63 Black Series bar along with the standard bar. I have attached the pictures here, but the original THREAD had it in post #16 HERE.

Frank, PTE does mention that after he bends them he has to send them out to be heat treated and powder coated.

Although I believe I read that dynomite05 had to have the ends of his modified as well, I couldn't easily find the post, and have company in the house. I could well be wrong there, as my interest really was not even in the BS bar.

Obviously, the Black Series bar is the one with the second hump for the dual exhaust. See the thread for more details.

Tommy, it isn't any better. Honestly this whole thread started out of my request for the torque document and a curiosity about the diameters on the standard CLK63.

However the Black Series bars are made by Eibach, I believe and have both the MB part number stamped on them as well as the Eibach logo. (I am working from memory here, but I believe it was in the same thread, that references it and gives a photo).

+1 except it's good for those with the CLK or the C55 that want's to do a true dual exhaust setup and don't have to bent the exhaust to fit the stock rear bar.

i personally like my stiff Eibach 22mm rear. LOL

Frank, it actually has to be bent for the standard clk. But the standard clk63 bars would fit the 203.

Oh well it was a thought.

Remove_install stabilizer bar on front axle. Let me know if I'm missing anything.

I think what you're doing is awesome, that coupe is gonna handle like crazy.

Thanks! Actually trying to just get as close to C230_Sport_Coupe's 22mm front and 19mm rear as I can using MB parts.

I am sure it will be better than it is now, and my main interest is nice sweepers on freeway on-ramps. And of course just to say I did it.

Flattery will get you everywhere.
Just bite the bullet.
HR bar is available on ebay for I think around 170.
(edit, oops they went up!)

Looks like about 236 w/shipping assuming thats the correct one.
W203 thru 09? I don't think so.
AMG front is only about 80-100.
