Met with Trey & Mike
Here is the obligatory photo, though Mike (MW_ATL) took a better one with a real camera. Trey's C320 was a no show, he was in the black G8 GT.
It was nice meeting you, Mike. It was quite a little drive for you for no longer than it turned out to be. The picture does not do justice for how great your 02 looks!
Trey, MBWorld's most lovable member, thanks for coming and taking those rims away. I expect to see photos on here once you get them mounted. And I hope to see you again next month if you can work me into your schedule. Hope you enjoyed your first real drive of a C230 Kompressor.

Yep, unfortunately they can't be seen in this photo. You can see Mike's C7 rims (also very nice) and the G8 GTs standard rims.

Thanks! It was great meeting up, and not that bad a drive. 48 miles or so, and 25.8 mpg on the way back -- could have done better but I was having fun. I think at one point we had all of the MB's in town there, when one other drove by!
Actually I think your picture turned out as well as my two. I should have thought to offer letting you guys drive, didn't even think about it.

What area did you guys meet up in?
Nice G8, that was the other car I thought about buying one when I decided to get rid of my C230 but I would have wanted a GXP which I couldn't afford. Though I forgot about the CTS-V at the time, which would have made for a very tough choice.

We met up in Rome, and really didn't know if I was going to get to make it before this morning. I had thought about dropping you a note, but I knew that would be a hike from where you are. Maybe we can do something more toward Atlanta sometime.

BTW Mike, your car sounded good as you accelerated out of the parking lot. There is something to be said for a nice sounding V6, but I really love the subtle supercharger whine from the C230K cars.

Mike's coupe is one of the best examples I've seen. I don't see many of them at all. The fact that it is in such good condition and that the mods he's done to it result in an OEM look so the car looks stock only makes it that much better.
As far as a CL203 coupe being able to upstage a W203 sedan? Not a chance.

Out Of Control!!
Them's fightin' words!
OEM's overrated. Though it is good to see a pic of what my car looked way back in September of 2001.

+1 Black Buick is popular in China. I think about 98% of Shanghai GM's production is black. On the occasions I've spent in the plant there have only been black ones on the production line.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
Yeah GM's pretty much on fire in China. I think there was article last yr where GM sold more cars in china then they did in the US, but i believe that number excluded there truck line though. Still impressive numbers.

lol yea, but Shanghai GM is producing probably 99% of the Buick sold in China which they are still selling the late 90's Buick Regal!! lol ... China is an odd market i'll tell you that. and they are all black indeed. lol
my brother's Mondeo in China is like $40k USD and it's only a 4-banger. why? because Chinese ppl think the 6 and 8 is a waste. in China...ppl want the cheapest end engine, but want the highest end equipments
