Front Seat Locked - C230 Coupe

I bought this 02 C230 Coupe a month ago to do my 100 mile daily commute. Yesterday I took the car to the dealership to get their complimentary car wash (I did not buy the car from them........they owed me a free car wash from a recall). When I got the car back I noticed the passenger headrest to be higher than normal. I tried to lower the electric headrest but it would not go down, only up. All the other power seat functions worked fine. I did a search on the forum to find a fix but nothing seemed to work. I was dumb enough to move the seat to the access position to allow the rear passenger to get in. Because of the headrest extension, I cannot move the seat back to its normal position. Today when I started the car today, I got a message "front seat locked". Now none of the power seat functions work. Is there something I can do to reset the power seat? Thanks!

Ok, so I managed to take off the headrest and the power seat functions are restored. The seat is in its normal position. Now I still need to fix the power headrest issue. It will not go down. Going up still works and all the other power movements are fine. Any suggestions?? I have disconnected and reconnected all the power connections. Thanks!!!

may be the contacts behind the switch aren't making electrical connection when you press the switch for going down. One way to find out if that's the case is to open the door panel and check the switch contacts.

Ever resolve this? I got the issue of likely needing to change a motor in the driver's seat (I have the standard semi-manuals), and one of the motors keeps blowing the fuse, so I haven't messed with it in a while due to time and not knowing the complexity. At least I don't have those seat controllers that fail...
