Please forgive me if this is not the correct area for this post or if this is a repost (i havent seen it).
I have a 2003 C240. All has been running well for some years now (a little over 70k miles). The other day I placed my key into the ignition and as the electric turned on and my seat, steering wheel, etc. began to move into position it seems as though there was a short or electrical failure. My seat stopped and the electric went off in my car (lights/ display went out), then came back on within a half of second or so and did this repeatedly a couple of times. All of this happening while the key was simply placed in (i believe first position).
By gently pushing twisting the key it easily advanced to the next position while the electric was working, but continued the flickering-like electrical failure through the positions until the car was actually turned on.
Once on, it ran fine until today when it flickered while the engine was running. At this point I will be checking the battery tomorrow morning but want to know if anyone else has had or heard of this issue and what other problems could be possibly causing this.
