So many problems??
So many problems??
Ok guys so I have a 2001 c240 and two nights ago i drove through some deep snow and my abs, bas, tcs light came on. Well no biggie just some snow around the wheel speed sensor I thought so I pull it in to the shop to let all the snow melt and pull the neg battery cable to reset the lights.
ten minutes later install the battery cable start it up and my ****ing dash goes crazy with problems.
So hear is the long list of problems now since I pulled the battery cables.
Display fualty light is on
My turn signals dont work
Hazzards dont work
Wipers or washer does not work
Trunk does not open
Sun roof is stuck open yes its cold out -15 in the morning
Key fob does not work,
Gas gauge does not work
Radio cuts out after about 30 min.
Power seats dont work
Bas Abs Tcs light still on and they dont work
I'm sure im missing some
I have checked every fuse with a test light and none are blown could not pull any codes off of it.
Has anyone had any problems after they pulled the battery? thanks for the help guys I need this stuff fixed.

you have a short in your stereo, one of your speakers are more than likely blown causing your factory amps to go into protect mode because the blown speaekrs causes a short. hope that solves the stereo problem.
Man, the town you live in is missing it's idiot. I'd replace that SAM for you free of charge if you'd just take her back.
Oh, and yes, sounds like a rear SAM is blown. You gotta be careful disconnecting the battery in these cars.

Ha no you can keep her we dont want her back. Thanks guys anyone know how much a rear sam cost and how I get into the trunk since its locked. And yes it does sound like a speaker is blown so that might be my stereo problem.
fixed my sun roof re synced could not get bas abs tcs light off with turning the wheel to the left then to right trick.

Yep! - fried SAM - the early ones were very fragile. You should only disconnect the battery with a quiescent current device to keep the car powered up.

The design of the electrical system on this model is unbelievably poor.
I cannot believe that the MB engineers could let it loose on a unsuspecting public.
I hope the crew who designed this are now sweeping the floor.

Yep! - 2000 to 2002 were horrors. First time Benz had computer simulated endurance testing rather than doing it on the road. E Class was worst. They learned their lesson. Now it's all done back on road here, Namibia & in the frozen North.
