What's the SOUND sound system?
I was looking at the DAS Screenshots, and I was wondering what the hell is the "SOUND sound system" listed in the turn on/turn off options list? I was hoping it was something to turn on our dismal little subwoofers , but I'm sure that's not the case :p

There certainly is. You can lease a DAS computer and software. Prices start at $15,000 per year.

I'm sure an interface cable could be fashioned...

Outland, if I get a chance on Saturday, I'll try to hook my car up and see if it makes any difference by changing that. I don't know why it would be on Not Present.
I need to make changes anyway. A tech changed my octane setting when he was doing alignment. He told me that it made more power on the E55 with no other mods. But it didn't seem to add power on mine, and I know that Kleemann recommends leaving it alone anyway. So while I'm in there, I'll play around some more.

Copying music may be a crime but I doubt there is any prosecutor who will bother filing misdemeanor or lower charges. Stealing the DAS program is a felony, and the thief would be charged without a doubt, as would anyone knowingly receiving a stolen copy.

Oh, I'm not going to actually copy it, but I might just check to see if there is actually a CD, because I have never seen one. I have no use for it, since I already have access to the computer. And I certainly don't want to get involved in selling it to other people.

I'm sure they can afford to modify them if they are going to sell them for $15,000+.
We have a tech who works like 11-12 hours a day and makes really good money, but there are only 2 computers for the whole shop and this really slows him down. Even at the high cost, he offered to pay for another computer for just him to use. But our service manager told him no, because he's an a**hole.

Matt, my comments were for Outland. I think the laptop is modified and and uses a modified version of NT.

I don't know if I want to try messing with transmission settings, but maybe. If that is a Present/Not Present setting, I wonder if it has to do with the sequential manual that they have in Europe??

I was just thinking, both mirrors are power mirrors... so the cirtuitry for tilting the mirror down is probably already present and just needs to be turned on... comments?

Could you run a trapline on that *inactive* replacement light function feature. I thought that our cars had that active?

Matt, do you have power seats? If not then you don't have the convience setting for the power mirror while in reverse... that setting can be enabled in the DAS and I was wondering what happens when you do enable it.

Cory, is the multiplexer the box type thing that plugs into the computer and then you attach the different cables to it for plugging into the two different types of plugs?
