Just wouldn’t be right to give a BMW pilot faulty intel on MBWorld.

Have been twisting wrenches for a while, but don’t recall using a torque wrench on a drain plug.
Probably just dumb luck none have ever stripped, leaked or vibrated loose.

FWIW, MB specifies 30 Nm for the M112’s drain plug:
Splinter, I am going with your values as it comes directly from MB and you were kind enough to post the actual screenshot that shows my model, year and engine. So 30 Nm for the drain plug and 25 Nm for the filter cover. These values just make more sense to me and are pretty close to what my Bentley manual specifies for a similar set up for my 330 (24.4 Nm for both on a bimmer). I am curious why Xhale's MB source specifies such a low value - I doubt MB would have given out 2 different values for the same engine/car. Maybe he can post up a picture too just to see what's going on. As far as Haynes - I've seen them make mistakes before for sure. I've updated the original post. Who knew this would get so confusing
