How you rate your Dealer's Service Advisor?
My local dealer : Auto Stiegler, Inc.
Speical request: Xenon=Present, Comand=Present and Netherlands Setting.
Warranty Claim: Remote problem, Passanger side seat, Driver side seat and Engine Oil Stain remove.
Time: 3 days
Cost: $0
Not fixed:
Engine Oil Stain remove - I have an oil stain on top of the engine cover right on the AMG logo when I first bought the car. The stain was not noticable until the dusts starting to stick on top of it. I had try to remove them myself but no luck. Dealer said MBUSA won't replace them since is not broken. (my take: does it suppose to have stain on it??)
Comand - Didn't even do anything...still not shows in the Center Display.
Netherlands- Not set..still no Chrips sound when arm/unarm.
Comments: It's taking too long. Service Advisor doesn't call me for the status of the car. I have to call in to check each day for status. (maybe they are too busy??) They only fix or do 3 out of 6 requests. 50% satifaction.

He also drives an 02 C230K coupé...and was real interested in the AMG spoiler I have. We talked about sway bars, and he agreed the C32 AMG bars would be the way to go. Also mentioned neoprene bushings from the SL would probably fit....

I brought the car for service at MB S.F. one time, the guy there didn't bother to look at me and give me a call when my car was ready!
So not only they didn't take care all my problems and now they add more damage to my car.
I will call them back Monday and won't go back any more...what a incompetent dealer.
my regular service advisor is pretty good. One of the other service advisor that i talk to when my regular guy isn't there was a dick, an a-hole, watever u want to call it.
You got your car at HOI right? Which SA do you take yours to? I used to take it to Brian Edwards but for some reason he's not there anymore. Nobody seems to know anything about cars there. Took them forever to put the comand display on and the netherland settings for the alarm.
Any good dealers in SoCal?
7 out of 10...

Hey Frank,

Keep the story short, after I arrived, shoptech comes out and check out what's wrong and pushed the Star DAS system next to my car and start changing the setting.
Comand = Present
CellulerPhone= NO Presnt
Remote = Netherlands (from USA)...I like the sound.
Within 5 mins, everything is done. I show the shoptech how to turn on the Netherlands setting coz he said he didn't know you can do that. :P SA never there when we were doing the settings...oh, well...now I know who to talk to when I need help.
Now I'm happy again.
I remember my last words to him were
"Thanks again ***, Ill be sure to take my car to Calabasas next time"
Calabasas has been great for me. Their service dept. is top notch.
Turns out that I had a bad differential (as said before) and a couple of collapsed lifters. Had my car into Stiegler for 3 days, about 10 hours of labor, a short wait for parts, and now I'm a happy camper.
I guess it all depends on your SA. I've heard that Phil Fox at Calabasas is top notch, but my experience was nothing short than a nightmare. Good thing that I was persistent enough to take it to another dealer; can you imagine what kind of cash I'd be shelling out if I waited until it was out of warranty?
Anyway, the two SAs at Stiegler have been great, I guess it's like anything else... sometimes people have bad days. *sigh*
